In recent decades, the number of condominiums increased in the urban area. In particular, some high-rise condominiums install the key card system. On the other hand, most tiny apartments still have installed the cylinder. I think these types of keys have advantages over each other. This essay will explain the advantages of both types of keys.

On the one hand, the key card has several advantages. First, the residents can open the entrance because of touching the key card to the panel. Therefore, they do not need flashlights on the keyhole at night. Moreover, some residents can open the entrance using their smartphones. As a result, they do not need to look for the key in the bag. Next, the residents can prevent forgetting the lock. For example, most key card systems close the entrance. Thus, even though they fail to touch the panel, the system locks the entrance automatically. Finally, they can keep the key card in variables like a wallet. Therefore, they do not need to equip other materials such as keychains.

On the other hand, the cylinder key also has some merits. First, it is easy to make alternative keys. To illustrate, when the dwellers lose their room key, they can order to make an alternative key from the locksmith immediately. As a result, they do not need to stand for a long time in front of the entrance. Next, the cylinder key is heavy. For example, even though they dropped the key from their pocket, they can immediately notice it because of the sound. As a result, some dwellers can find the key that they dropped.

In conclusion, the key card system is convenient and has good security. Also, the cylinder keys have some merits for dwellers.
