Play with Children (IELTS Task2)

Q: Lately, the number of children who play outside is decreasing. Some parents worry about the risk of playing outside. To what extent do you agree or disagree?  Write at least 250 words.

In modern life, some parents have struggled with which sides, inside or outside their children should play on. In my opinion, I believe that parents may play inside with their children. This essay will explain the advantages of playing inside.

First, children can learn social skills through playing inside too. For example, children can obtain a knack. To illustrate, how to greet their friends, and their parents when they visit a friend’s house.  For such reasons, children can recognize how to do appropriate behaviour and for coping with various situations in society. Next, some parents can observe their children in their safe areas. Such parents are often concerned about the safety of their children. For instance, some infants would leave the safety zone. But inside, parents can observe their children. As a result, children can avoid some risks and dangers.

Second, elderly people can contribute to children, such as how to play traditional games. In other words, elderly people and children can learn about individual cultures through games. For example, 100 celebrity poets contain short poems between the 7th and 13th centuries. Elderly people and children can learn Japanese history by playing this card game. In addition, some training centres provide fitness machines and tools. For instance, gymnasiums provide a chance to do light exercise. For such reasons, they can do training with enjoying it. Finally, some game centres offer excellent facilities for playing E-Sports, which means electronic sports. Children can obtain training skills in computers quickly by playing e-sports. Also, some elderly people can enjoy e-sports playing with their grandchildren.

In conclusion, parents may recommend children play inside. Children can learn social rules through playing.
