The Beginning of His Dream
In his twenties, Shinichi has been diagnosed with ASD. He was not good at planning his future. He also has ADHD too. His hybrid characteristics often struggled with his projects and dream planning. In his teenage, he had passionated entering Japanese railroad companies. Shinichi bought a lot of magazines about trains and textbooks for professionals. In addition, he frequently went to libraries and took photographs of some constructed railways to research railroads. He would have liked to know about trends in the Japanese railroad industry. In 2001, some information technology companies selected the Sapporo Subway as a proceed test location for using IC cards. Shinichi promptly applied to be a test monitor. He got his first IC card as a monitor. Also, he travelled to Tokyo to obtain a Suica card.
Learning Attitude
In 2004, Shinichi was diagnosed with ASD. He struggled with tidying up his room. For this reason, he had no time to think about his future. However, Shinichi remained optimistic and shifted his dream from railroad companies to travel industries. Shinichi met some individuals with mental illnesses. His communication skills were immature and awkward. Nevertheless, Shinichi had a humble learning attitude.
In 2008, Shinichi enrolled the first-class hotel as reservation staff. He was confused and didn’t understand his condition because he always caught all the surrounding sounds, such as ringing the phone and chatting with staff. Fortunately, he somehow did his conditions. As a result, he could work at the hotel as his job experience was nine years.
Shinichi thought it was significant for planning in 2011. He would have liked to go to Canada. That was his first journey abroad. As soon as he decided, Shinichi estimated the financial cost of his trip to Canada. He could keep his work performance and motivation because of going on this trip.
Aiming for the Next Step of His Dream
Between 2009 and 2018, Shinichi could improve his social skills successfully. Before working for a hotel, he had never participated in a buffet-style lunch and dinner. In some anniversaries, hotel management companies provided a buffet-style event for employees. Also, hotel staff sometimes serve customers and staff as equals. In this experience, Shinichi was satisfied that he could grow up considerate.
In 2018, Shinichi tried to start a job as a freelance. But he made a mistake. Shinichi miscalculated his mental age.
One Japanese comic illustrator, Nyanko Kanashiro, depicts a grown-up record of her son, Ryuta. In this comic, his pediatrician said developmental individuals of their mental age of individuals seem approximately two-thirds of chronological age.
Shinichi retired from a hotel job at 37 years old. But he overestimated his social experience. In his mental age, it was still immature. He was 37 years old in his chronological age. But in his mental age, it was two-thirds of 37 years, which means 25 years old.
