Q: Some countries do elections through the Internet for selecting the best candidates for citizens. Discuss both views and give your opinions. Write at least 250 words.
In most countries, the government does an election for selecting appropriate candidates for citizens. But some people can not go to the election. I partly support the government giving a chance for online voting to citizens. This essay will explain both perspectives on online voting.
On the one hand, there are several drawbacks to online voting. First, some hackers may know how to access websites. For this reason, some personal information of voters may jeopardize on the Internet. Also, some voters do not have devices such as computers and smartphones. They need to purchase these machines. For this reason, they have to pay any initial costs. Consequently, these citizens hesitate to vote for candidates whom they selected.
On the other hand, there are some advantages to online voting. First, people who have computers can vote for candidates anytime without concerning their schedule. In some countries, most people have to go to the venues for voting. But online, even though people work on holidays such as Sundays, they can vote for candidates on other days. Second, people can see the policies of candidates clearly through the Internet. Some voters can understand what messages of candidates by visualizing information. For such reason, candidates can convey policies to voters without election cars. As a result, parental voters can take care of their infants.
In conclusion, workers who work on holiday also can vote for candidates. Candidates can appeal their policies to citizens efficiently. Overall, I agree with spreading online voting in society.
