The bar chart illustrates the sleeping time in Japanese prefectures, Hokkaido and Tokyo. This data shows between 2001 and 2016 once in 5 years.

Overall, it is clear that males in Hokkaido could mark the longest sleeping time. This time closed reaches approximately 8 hours. Also, males in Hokkaido remained a sleeping time of more than 7.85 hours. Conversely, females in Tokyo could remain at the lowest time. Females could sleep within 7.5 hours.

Between 2001 and 2011, males in Hokkaido gradually decrease their sleeping duration. That declined by about 0.2 hours. In contrast, females in Hokkaido slightly increased by approximately 0.2 hours. On the other hand, for males in Tokyo could slightly decrease. Females in Tokyo remained a sleep duration of about 7.5 hours.

From 2011 to 2016, the sleep duration in Hokkaido gradually increased. Both genders slightly increased by 0.1 hours. In contrast, females in Tokyo gradually increased by about 0.01 hours. But in 2016, females in Tokyo could sleep for 7.5 hours at least.
