Q: Why did Japanese street lightning change from orange to white? Discuss both views and give your opinion.

In the middle of the 20th century, Japanese roads had drastically brightened. Some constructs installed the street lights. In particular, they had been set with oranges on the expressways and their long tunnels. But nowadays, orange lights have been changing to white lights. I believe that white lights have some advantages. This essay will compare the orange and white lights.

On the one hand, there is the advantage of orange lights. First, most drivers can look out the range of extensive. For example, orange lights can show the shapes of roads to the drivers as a sign. Consequently, most drivers can drive safely without guides, such as on a snow day.

On the other hand, some white lights also have several advantages. First, people can use such light long-term. People can use the orange lights for at least three years. In contrast, they can use white lights for a decade because of LED(Light-Emitting Diode). For such a reason, people can reduce maintenance costs. Next, white lights do not contain a lot of UV(Ultra Violet). Such lights can avoid some insects. Furthermore, some skins can avoid damage too. As a result, people can feel comfortable under white lights.

To summarize, white lights contain a lot of advantages. Overall, I support that white lights will increase with the progress of technologies in the future.
