Q: Nowadays, some transportation provides the current location of vehicles to passengers. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Write at least 250 words.
In some cities, most commuters use public transportation, such as buses or trains, to their workplaces. Also, some travellers use a taxi to go to the airport. However, it is not always punctual. I think it is a good attempt for passengers to notify the current location. This essay will explain the advantages of providing the current position.
First, commuters can estimate the approximate arrival time. Thus, they can avoid peak time. For example, some public transportation provides QR(Quick Response) codes for commuters. This code has been linked to GPS (Global Positioning System). As a result, commuters can tell their supervisor how long it takes from their current position.
Next, travellers can tell the current location precisely from their tour guide. As a result, the directions can indicate the best route for them. For instance, one group of tourists has to arrive at the airport 50 minutes before the flight. Nevertheless, one member of the group might be delayed because their taxi encounters a traffic jam. If that taxi driver can let the tour guide know the current location of that participant, the tour guide can do the next appropriate instruction. Also, taxi drivers can send travellers to their homes. For example, the train should be stopped because of heavy rain. If the taxi drivers can know the train’s current position, their companies can dispatch some vehicles to the nearest station.
In conclusion, I think it is a great attempt to let the passengers know the current position. Commuters can tell supervisors what time they arrive at the office, and tourists can tell their guide the arrival time.
