Dear Diary,

Shinichi woke up early this morning at 4:00 a.m. He noticed people walking their dogs. Even though the sky was unclear, the sunrise was still beautiful. Shinichi reminded him of one of Aesop’s fables, The North Wind and The Sun.

In this story, the North Wind and the Sun had a competition to remove a traveller’s coat. The North Wind used its strong wind to get rid of its outer. Conversely, the Sun tried to remove it using high temperatures. The Sun was ultimately successful and won the competition.

Shinichi sees this story as a form of communication. He used to work at a hotel and learned that a smile generates happiness. Also, it sometimes even prevents crime. Comedians and merchants are skilled at smiling and creating a positive environment. In addition, some professionals can have insight into the movement of their customers.

Shinichi respected that hotel staff, Cabin Attendants, and restaurant staff smiled well. He thought that they were smiling like The Sun. Shinichi had ASD. For such reason, he can’t imitate well. But he always thinks such talents in these occupations are commendable.
